You have a significant investment in those shipments, and you don't want them to freeze. Fortunately, you're using the brands of YRC Worldwide. And we have a significant investment in the equipment needed to safely ship your freezable goods. We also have decades of proven, successful experience.
Shipment protection services are available through YRC, YRC Reimer, Holland, Reddaway and New Penn.
To best match your needs, our brands offer a number of different protection services.
For example, YRC brings you:
- Freezable Protection. This service uses special handling procedures, weather monitoring and indictors in our tracking system to handle freezable shipments.
- Insulated Cover. Take Freezable Protection one step further. YRC adds a blanket of protection with technically engineered and environmentally friendly covers for drums, pallets and totes. The covers ensure products won't freeze at or below 32° F/1.5° C.
YRC drivers can pick up your Freezable Protection and Insulated Cover shipments Monday through Friday for all direct service points in the continental U.S. and Canada. Freezable Protection pickups also are available Monday through Friday for direct shipments to Mexico.
As an example of our regional offerings, Holland offers Freeze Protection Service, with pickups five days a week, including Fridays. The service is available on all direct-service points, including Ontario and Quebec. Your shipments and BOLs must be marked with "Protect from Freezing" to receive the specialized freeze protection service.
In addition to protecting your freezable shipments while in transit, YRC Worldwide brands provide warm rooms for weekend usage when needed.
